Has anyone ever heard of a sea kayak called Cativa from Mason Marine ltd? - kayak sales ontario
I found it on craigs list for a new 17 feet. Sea kayak for sale in Canada of $ 1000 USD. Too good to be true. The pictures look fantastic, but will not comment on this kayak.

After a quick search on Google, it seems that Mason Marine is a yacht brokerage in Vancouver, BC, not a manufacturer of kayaks.
It was a boat called the Captiva Perception kayaks - a good, solid boat cop, of course, but $ 1k? If you are a Captiva, I would say more like $ 600 per request. The Captiva (discontinued a few years ago) is the older brother of his series of boats called Carolina.
This is the name of the boat closest to what you mentioned.
